The destination may be national. The route is provincial.

Construction Electrician is a Red Seal trade, but apprenticeship registration, training requirements, certification rules, fees and available entry routes are administered by provincial and territorial authorities.

Start with the province where you intend to train or work.

These guides separate official requirements from practical considerations, identify what must be confirmed directly and link to the responsible authorities. They are designed to help you understand the route before committing time, money or employment decisions.

Choose your province

Pathways are grouped according to each province's rules and the circumstances they address. The number shown is not an official route count and does not indicate that one province is easier to enter than another.

What remains national

The Red Seal Program establishes common national standards and examinations for participating trades. A Red Seal endorsement confirms that a tradesperson has met the national standard for the trade.

It does not make every provincial process identical.

Before registering, training, challenging an examination or moving between provinces, confirm the applicable requirements with the apprenticeship or certification authority in the jurisdiction where you intend to work.
